Are you aware of the so called food additive “red dye#40″? ![]()
Mom got this info from the internet:
“Shih Tzus (and many other breeds) may present signs of allergies to red dye #40, and owners should respond to scratching in the absence of fleas by eliminating pet foods that contain this commonly used additive” ![]()
No wonder I’m scratching even though I have no fleas.
I used to eat
A*PO (Beef and Vegetables) dog food that can be bought at any grocery store. But Mom always notice my scratching after having meals. She would immediately check if i have tick or fleas. And so she decided to search the net because she knows there’s something wrong. And viola! I am not eating Orijen Puppy Dog food!
In order to avoid the allergies mommy recommend these yummy dog foods ![]()
- California Natural
- Eagle
- Orijen (My Food!)
- Acana
- Go Natural
- Canidae
- Holistic Select
- Innova
And this is our new Dog food diet!
High in protein and low in carbohydrate, ORIJEN PUPPY has a grain-free formula that replicates the same rich and diverse balance of meats, fruits, and vegetables. Bursting with the protein-packed, veterinary-inspected meats (minimum 75%) that form a Biologically Appropriate diet, without any of the grains or carbohydrates that are inappropriate for your puppy.
There are a few dealers/suppliers of the mentioned dog foods here in Manila, Philppines. I’m not quite sure in other countries. Just try to browse the websites of the mentioned items. I’m sure they have international dealers as well. ![]()
